Red Velvet - 8", 4-Layer Cake

My Red Velvet cake arrived as promised. It was packaged very well. However it was not round. It had been squished. I still served it with the flat side up against the wall. I will go great lengths to find the perfect red velvet cake. The price is never considered. This cake was moist and dense. The frosting was the part I didn’t like. It was very sweet, not the cream cheese frosting I had hoped for . That’s why I gave it 2 stars.

I ordered the Red Velvet cake for my son’s birthday and which is a few days before Christmas. Cake arrived the day prior to his birthday on 12/20. It was a little mis shaped on the bottom from the shipping however, he loved it and that was the most important.

The delivery was perfect .

My family loved this cake ! Now mind you, this is a "sweet" version of red velvet cake. But even the folks who prefer the traditional "sour" (more sour cream flavor) enjoyed several slices. 🙂I was very happy that it arrived on time and was packaged with care. I believe Brown Sugar Bakery will become a staple at our holiday meals. Thank you.
